Susan Lamb

It's no wonder we're reluctant to acknowledge climate change; it means the loss of so much beauty and life. But its effects are already here, right on our doorstep. My drawings and text invite you to observe and reflect on how climate change is affecting just a few of the creatures around us.

Susan Lamb Bio

Susan Lamb is a writer-naturalist who has published many essays and articles as well as thirty books on natural history and human cultures. For the past twenty-seven years, she has observed the wild plants and animals in the forest and meadows around her home on the edge of Flagstaff. Lately, she's been noticing the absence of some of them, rather than their presence. For this exhibit, Lamb formalized some of her notes and observations about birds.
