Shanna Parker
Shanna Parker is a national Survivor Leader and Subject Matter Expert in the field Child Sex Trafficking. Shanna serves hundreds of youths and young adults yearly in local group homes, campuses and the community. She served as the Public Relations Communications Chair for the National Survivor Network, and she is the Executive Chair of the Arizona Survivor Leadership Council, and a consultant for the Office of Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center assisting with program building and specialized training. She sits on panels for various agencies and universities as well as being faculty for Elevate Academy an online school for survivors of trafficking. Shanna has trained and works alongside supreme and superior court judges and justice staff, juvenile probation, law enforcement, and social service professionals. Shanna has worked with tribal agencies to develop responses to trafficking in rural and native lands. She’s currently a US Delegate to the White House on those issues. She also works for Southwest Network as the Anti-Human Trafficking Coordinator where she is a consultant for clinical staff and working as a specialized therapeutic mentor/advocate for chronically trafficked youth with a high run-away rate. Shanna authored a book “And He Called Me Angel” telling her story of human trafficking. Shanna has a TEDx Talk “The laws of being a victim” discussing how she was able to move forward after the trauma of trafficking. And Shanna has been featured on the Polaris website for her “Oh Say Can You See” project depicting what trafficking looks like in the community.
